The backless version of our popular espadrille shoes. These come in a dark brown or cream calfskin.
Juta espadrilles are made from tan leather waste rescued from UK landfill and rope soles from southern Spain. Each pair is hand-stitched by women in East London who face a number of barriers to work (see our Makers page for more information) as part of an empowerment project that provides flexible and supported paths to employment.
Calfskin leather (sourced from UK factory but origin unknown)
Braided jute, made in Spain
Hand-sewn in London
Some natural variation in grain, colour and shape may occur with handmade items. Images depict the item as accurately as possible.
AVAILABILITY For space reasons we don't keep every variation and size in stock but are always happy to order your size and preferred colour at no extra cost. It is also possible to choose colours and fabrics that are not shown here. Feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options.
SIZING These espadrilles come up small. We recommend going up a size (if you normally take a 38, order a 39). They will soften and mould to your feet after wearing
CARE INSTRUCTIONS Our espadrilles will last longer if reshaped with tissue (supplied) between uses. They can be cleaned with a dry cloth (try not to get the soles wet).
