Carefully carved from one piece of Scottish cherry wood, this elegant spatula is super handy and beautiful use. The wood itself is coppiced by makers as part of the local council's tree management programme and then crafted by hand to create the unique shape with its flattened-end handle which makes it a joy to hold. The whole process can take several weeks and is an exercise in patience and human endeavour. Each one is coated in olive oilto prolong its life; it is non-toxic and will not damage non-stick pans.
Made by volunteers at Fruitful Woods in Edinburgh (see our Makers page for more details).
Due to the organic materials and handmade nature of these items, some natural variation in grain, colour and shape may occur. Images depict the item as accurately as possible.
